2. Regulatory status

MAROAUTO Sp. z o.o. carries out a virtual-asset service provider (VASP) activity registered in Poland in the register of virtual-currency activities (“Rejestr Działalności w zakresie Walut Wirtualnych”, RDWW). This registration authorises, in particular, exchange activities between virtual currencies and fiat currencies.

Registration as a VASP is not an authorisation as a credit institution or investment firm, and does not imply any State guarantee over crypto-assets. Depending on the application timeline of the EU MiCA Regulation, the applicable regime is subject to change.

3. Anti-money-laundering framework (AML/CFT)

We operate a compliance framework that includes:

  • identification and verification of customers' identity (KYC) and beneficial owners;
  • continuous transaction monitoring and detection of atypical operations;
  • screening against sanctions lists and politically exposed persons (PEPs);
  • record-keeping and reporting to the competent authorities where the law requires it;
  • staff training and the appointment of a compliance officer.

4. KYC and due-diligence measures

Before any exchange, identity verification is mandatory. We may request additional supporting documents (source of funds, proof of address) and apply enhanced due-diligence measures depending on the risk profile. We may refuse a business relationship or an operation in the absence of the required elements.

5. International sanctions & PEPs

We do not enter into a relationship with persons or entities subject to restrictive measures of the EU, the UN or other applicable regimes. Any operation suspected of circumventing sanctions is blocked and, where relevant, reported.

6. Area of operation

The Services are reserved for residents of the European Economic Area (EEA). They are not intended for persons located in jurisdictions where the provision of such services would be illegal or would require an authorisation we do not hold.

7. Fund protection & custody of assets

Client funds are kept separate from the company's own funds. Crypto-assets are mostly held in cold storage, with security and access-control procedures. Crypto-assets do not benefit from any deposit-guarantee scheme.

8. Risk warning

Crypto-assets are volatile, speculative and may lose all or part of their value. They are not covered by the investor-protection mechanisms applicable to regulated financial instruments. The information on this website does not constitute investment, legal or tax advice. You are solely responsible for your decisions.

9. Complaints & authorities

Any complaint may be sent to compliance@louvre-crypto.com. Customers may also refer the matter to the competent authorities of their EEA country of residence. Polish register: prs.ms.gov.pl.
